Where I Went: Weekend Getaway

My family is lucky enough to own a house in West Dover,Vermont. Since we've built it and when I say we I mean my dad it has become one of my favorite places to escape to. The weekend consisted on kayaking, swimming holes, flea markets, campfires and in general letting loose.

Where I've Been: Lido de Camaiore, Italy

My two weeks spent here consisted of laying on the beach, admiring beautifully bronzed Italian men never ending lunches, drinking wine in the hotel garden, Oh and four hour Italian language classes.

Notebooks for class, wine for after class.

Where I've Been: La-La- London

Here, there, everywhere and sometimes twice.

Only having only one full day in London sightseeing was a top priority, hitting all the major sites, riding the tube, climbing on statues, making guards laugh, gawking at the palace, looking for a short cut only to have to walk farther and than collapsing into the nearest pub ordering just about anything (besides kidney pie, beware of the kidney pie!).
While London felt a little bit like a hit and run it was fantastic to see the sights I had only seen in movies (and by movies I mean London Calling with Mary-Kate and Ashely Olsen movie). Besides all the funny stuff London was a beautiful city and a great start to my trip.

Where I've Been

Time is a very misleading thing. All there is ever, is the now. We can gain experience from the past, but we can't relive it; that is unless you have a blog. Which in that case you can post photos and gab all about your experiences all over again. But I promise you this is not that kind of post.

Sitting still has never been my thing (just ask my mother). My love for travel started at a young age with my grandmother taking me on adventures and teaching me the life of a free spirit. I'm a very curious person. The people have always fascinated me, how the live, how they dress, what they eat and everything in between. That's why traveling excites me.

Last fall I was lucky enough to study abroad (again I swear it's not that kind of post) in Florence,Italy. My time there was spectacular, exploring new cities every weekend, experiencing new cultures and eating far too much pizza and gelato.

My thirst for travel as only grown more since then. As a way to get to know me better I've decided to share my past experiences with a few posts all titled Where I've been. Enjoy!

Just the Beginning !

After 4 years of living what my friends and I felt was ’ The Fake Life’, mastering the art of a busy social life and attending classes (not to mention completing those pesky papers and exams), I’m glad to say goodbye to The University of Rhode Island even if that means leaving the beach. My fake life ends and now I get to create my real life where ever that may take me and it’s just the beginning!
